The Lagan Towpath is a continuous flat off-road link between the two cities of Belfast and Lisburn.
Not only is the towpath a tranquil riverside route steeped in history, it is also a quality section of the Ulster Way and has been accredited as a Quality Medium Distance Walk through walk NI. This makes the Lagan Towpath a perfect place to escape the stresses of the city as well as an ideal family day out. The towpath is a mixed use path and walkers can expect to see cyclists along the route. The Regional Park also has numerous woodland and meadow walks that have been accredited high quality short walks through walk NI.
