An Introduction to our Marvellous Moths

Date and Time:
Wednesday 23 August 2023
Duration:
2hrs

Join BTO and LVRP for a morning event all about our marvellous and mysterious moths. Moths are just as beautiful, awe-inspiring and important as their day-flying cousins the butterflies, and at this event we’ll be looking through a moth trap to see which moths are flying about in the Lagan Valley Regional Park, in south Belfast. We’ll be identifying the moths as a group with help from moth-er Sorrel Lyall from BTO NI, and enjoying the wide variety of moths that call our local sites home. This event is for all levels of moth experience - if you already love moths, come share your knowledge, if you’ve never looked at a moth in your life, come learn! Everyone is welcome.

This event is hosted by BTO's Ripple NI project and Lagan Valley Regional Park.

Meet outside Lock Keepers Cottage at 10am.

Free event!
