The towpath is a scenic part of the Lagan and Lough National Cycle Network Route 9 and forms a
sustainable transport link between the cities of Lisburn and Belfast. Whether you are commuting to work or out with the family the towpath is a readily accessible route combining the quiet tranquillity of the riverside and the freedom from traffic. The route through the Lagan Valley is a mixed use path and cyclists must give way to pedestrians along this section and use a bell to warn others of their approach.
